Marc Heller wird in der Spielzeit 2005/06 an die Komische Oper Berlin zurückkehren und den Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly singen, nachdem er in der letzten Spielzeit bereits den Alfredo in der Kupfer-Produktion von La Traviata gegeben hat. Zudem wird er hier auch als Alfred in Die Fledermaus sowie erneut als Alfredo in La Traviata auftreten.
Weitere Engagements in der kommenden Spielzeit umfassen die Titelpartie in Tan Duns neuestem Werk The First Emperor, das in Zusammenarbeit mit der Metropolitan Opera in Shanghai, China aufgeführt wird. Außerdem erscheint er in der Rolle des Nicias in Thais an der Boston Lyric Opera.

Außerdem veröffentlichte er eine Kollektion mit Original-Stücken von Steve Allen mit dem Titel Rome by Night, die der bereits verstorbene, große Künstler noch selbst produziert und eingespielt hat. Er nahm als Solosänger Modinhas e Cançoes auf, eine Liedsammlung des brasilianischen Komponisten Heitor Villa-Lobos. Außerdem war er als Tenorsolist in Anthony Newmans Requiem und als Kato in der Aufnahme von Newmans Oper Nicole zu hören.
