Rupert Gillett ist ein britischer Cellist, Bassist, Komponist und Produzent. Er ist ein international anerkannter Jazzcellist und Spezialist für viele alternative Cellotechniken. Rupert hat mit Künstler*innen wie Jazz Legende Jacqui Dankworth MBE, Alison Moyet (Yazoo), Shara Nelson (Massive Attack), Katy Carr, Delain und Modern Nature zusammengearbeitet, und war mit verschiedenen Ensembles mehrfach im BBC-Radio und Fernsehen zu hören. Außerdem ist er vor Publikum mit Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom und HRH Prince Philip aufgetreten. Er ist Dozent an der Cello Akademie Rutesheim und hat auch an der Royal Academy of Music (London), dem New Directions Cello Festival (MA, USA) und verschiedenen anderen Festivals und Kursen unterrichtet.

The Rupert Gillett Trio show is a show for everyone who is looking for something new, exciting and different.

Rupert Gillett is a British cellist, bassist, composer and producer. He is an internationally recognized jazz cellist and specialist in many alternative cello techniques and cello improvisation. Rupert has collaborated with artists such as jazz legend Jacqui Dankworth MBE, Alison Moyet (Yazoo), Shara Nelson (Massive Attack), Katy Carr, Delain and Modern Nature, and has appeared on BBC radio and television with various ensembles. He has also performed for audiences including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom and HRH Prince Philip. He is a lecturer at the Cello Akademie Rutesheim and has also taught at the Royal Academy of Music (London), the New Directions Cello Festival (MA, USA) and various other festivals and courses.



The concerts at the LOFT will generally start at around 8.00 pm CET - the LOFT will open at 7.30 pm CET.
