Nissen Mosh spielt erfrischend neue Eigenkompositionen des dänischen Saxophonisten Asger Nissen. Nachdem er sich in den letzten Jahren in der deutschen Jazzszene etabliert hat, ist Asger Nissen nun bereit, seine brandneue Band zu präsentieren. Mit dabei sind einige seiner engsten und beliebtesten Musiker der Berliner Szene: Valentin Gerhardus, Thorbjørn „TB“ Stefansson und Marius Wankel.

Die Musik von Nissen Mosh reflektiert einige von Asger’s Lieblingsimpulsen aus alter, moderner und zeitgenössischer Musik in einem frischen, kuriosen und lebendigen Ausdruck. Das manchmal fast symbiotische Zusammenspiel zwischen Valentin Gerhardus und Asger Nissen erzeugt eine besondere Atmosphäre von harmonischer Spontanität sowie melodischer Ausgelassenheit, begleitet von der Rhythmusgruppe bestehend aus TB und Marius Wankel, die nicht nur ein solides Fundament legen, sondern auch die Führung übernehmen können und dadurch einen starken, gewagten und einheitlichen Bandsound etablieren.

Nissen Mosh plays refreshingly new original compositions by Danish saxophonist Asger Nissen. Having established himself in the German jazz scene in recent years, Asger Nissen is now ready to present his brand new band. Joining him are some of his closest and most popular musicians on the Berlin scene: Valentin Gerhardus, Thorbjørn TB Stefansson and Marius Wankel.

The music of Nissen Mosh reflects some of Asger’s favourite impulses from old, modern and contemporary music in a fresh, curious and lively expression. The sometimes almost symbiotic interplay between Valentin Gerhardus and Asger Nissen creates a special atmosphere of harmonic spontaneity as well as melodic exuberance, accompanied by the rhythm section consisting of TB and Marius Wankel, who not only lay a solid foundation but can also take the lead, establishing a strong, daring and unified band sound.
