Faust: Live at Klangbad

Synopsis

Faust, together with Kraftwerk, Amon Düül, Neu!, Can and Popol Vuh, is amongthe most important German avant-garde pop bands of all times. Formed in 1970in Hamburg the band has been acclaimed internationally as the inventors ofindustrial rock. Between 1975 and 1990 the band almost didn't exist. But in the early 90s some of the old band members reunited and since then the bandperforms and records again. Their sound hasn't lost any of the earlyexcitement and experimentation. Filmmakers Dietmar Post and Lucia Palaciosin the style of Direct Cinema captured one of Faust's rare live performancesat the Klangbad Music Festival. The documentary film about the entirefestival "Klangbad: Avant-garde in the Meadows" will be released on DVD in2010 together with the Faust live performance.
