In accordance with Mozart, the director Peter Konwitschny has created an extraordinary sympathetic Don Giovanni. He considered Don Giovanni' s attitude regarding his acceptance of life and love but is as well conscious of the danger, which proceeds of his anti-civiliatoric potence. The staging, which is rejoiced by the audience and the press, does not neglect neither the manifold and partly crude comicality of the situations, nor the philosophic coming to a point of conflicts, which indicate as questions about love and death.
