Nach ihrer Ausbildung als Theatermalerin studierte Valentina Pino Reyes Bühnen- und Kostümbild bei Katrin Brack in München und war u. a. Stipendiatin der Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. Bereits während des Studiums arbeitete sie u. a. am Tams-Theater, dem Residenztheater und den Münchner Kammerspielen. Es folgten Zusammenarbeiten mit den Regisseur*innen Caner Akdeniz, Moritz Franz Beichl, Maike Bouschen, Sapir Heller und Wolfgang Nägele u. a. in Darmstadt, Gießen, Lübeck, Göttingen, Regensburg und Tübingen. Mit Franziska Angerer verbindet sie eine künstlerische Zusammenarbeit seit der gemeinsamen Studienzeit an der Theaterakademie August Everding. 2021 wurde Valentina Pino Reyes in der Kritiker Umfrage der „Theater Heute" als beste Nachwuchskünstlerin für Bühnen und Kostümbild genannt.
