Sonia Hossein-Pour hat einen Master-Abschluss in Moderner Literatur, einen Abschluss an der Sciences Po Paris in Public Affairs und an der HEC Paris School of Management in Cultural and Creative Industries. Außerdem hat sie klassischen Gesang am Pariser Konservatorium bei Michel Piquemal, François Le Roux und Catherine Dune studiert. Sie war mehrere Jahre lang Musikkritikerin für das französische Webzine Forumopera.com, bevor sie an die Opéra Comique in Paris kam, um in der ersten Spielzeit von Olivier Mantei als Direktor in der Kommunikation zu arbeiten. Als Dramaturgin verfasste sie Texte und führte Interviews für die Programmhefte der Opéra Comique, der Opéra national du Rhin und der Philharmonie de Paris sowie für die europäische Opern-Streaming-Plattform OperaVision. Sie war als Casting-Beraterin für das Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord und als Kommunikations- und Marketingleiterin in diversen Opernhäusern tätig. NEGAR ist ihr erstes Projekt als Librettistin.
