Kristina Griep (1. Alt) stammt aus Bremerhaven und studierte an der Musikhochschule Lübeck Bühnen- und Konzertgesang sowie Schulmusik. Bereits während des Studiums sammelte die Mezzosopranistin erste Bühnenerfahrungen bei der „Jungen Oper Lübeck“ und am Theater Lübeck u. a. als Lehrbube / DIE MEISTERSINGER VON NÜRNBERG, Page / RIGOLETTO oder als Sängerin im Schauspiel MEISTERKLASSE von T. McNally. Meisterkurse bei Sena Jurinac, Renata Scotto und Alberto Zedda rundeten ihre Ausbildung ab. Unter Alberto Zedda sang sie im Rahmen des Schleswig Holstein Musikfestivals die Lucilla in Rossinis LA SCALA DI SETA. Direkt im Anschluss an das Studium folgte ein Engagement im Opernchor der Bühnen der Stadt Münster, wo sie auch solistisch als Rossweisse in Wagners DIE WALKÜRE debütierte.
Seit der Spielzeit 2000/2001 ist Kristina Griep Mitglied des Opernchores der Deutschen Oper Berlin. Während eines mehrjährigen Thailandaufenthaltes unterrichtete sie an der Christlichen Deutschen Schule Chiangmai Musik und engagierte sich in verschiedenen Projekten in Zusammenarbeit mit der dortigen Payap Universität leidenschaftlich für die Vermittlung des Deutschen Liedes. Seit der Spielzeit 2015/2016 ist sie wieder zurück an der Deutschen Oper Berlin. Hier war und ist sie auch solistisch zu hören in FREISCHÜTZ, RIGOLETTO, MANON LESCAUT und LOHENGRIN.
