Die junge lyrische Sopranistin Evelina Smolina wurde in Riga (Lettland) geboren. Im Februar 2019 gab sie ihr Debüt in der Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) beim Preisträgerkonzert des Internationalen Crescendo-Wettbewerbs als Grand-Prix-Gewinnerin. Im Laufe dieses Jahres trat sie in St. Petersburg beim Saisoneröffnungsfest unter Leitung von Fabio Mastrangelo auf. Im März 2020 folgte ein Auftritt zusammen mit Aida Garifullina und Ildar Abdrazakov am Mikhailovsky-Theaters in St. Petersburg, wo sie mit großem Erfolg die Arie der Adina / L’EISIR D‘AMORE, begleitet vom Mikhailovsky-Theater-Sinfonieorchester unter Leitung von Mikhail Tatarnikov, interpretierte.
Im Mai 2023 erwarb Evelina Smolina ihren Bachelor-Abschluss in klassischem Gesang an der Manhattan School of Music im Studio von Shirley Close. Während ihres letzten Studienjahres hatte sie die Gelegenheit, mit so renommierten Lehrer*innen wie Thomas Lausmann, Myra Huang, Bryan Wagorn zusammenzuarbeiten. Derzeit ist Evelina Smolina Masterstudentin an der Universität der Künste Berlin unter der Leitung von Evelin Novak.
Als Giselher und Waldvogel gibt sie ihr Debüt in AB IN DEN RING! in der Tischlerei der Deutschen Oper Berlin im Februar 2025.
