David Wishart ist ein seit 2014 in Deutschland tätiger Pianist, Komponist und Dirigent. 2019 arbeitete er als musikalischer Assistent an der Deutschen Oper Berlin bei der Uraufführung von Chaya Czernowins HEART CHAMBER. Seit 2020 ist er am Theater Vorpommern engagiert. Dort hat er mehrere experimentelle Stücken arrangiert, darunter WILLKOMMEN IM WUNDERLIFT (2023), und SPRICH MIT MIR (2022). Dabei wechselte er „als musikalischer Leiter und Begleiter zwischen Klavier und Keyboard, feinfühlend und stilsicher in der Präsentation der Vielfalt der verschiedenartigen Motive.“ (Opernglas). Regelmäßig tritt er auch mit seiner Partnerin auf, der Sängerin Lisa Newill-Smith, darunter bei ihrem Projekt WOMEN WHO COMPOSED, das sich mit der Erforschung von selten gespielter Musik von Komponistinnen beschäftigt.
