Die Sopranistin Cornelia Kim wurde in Gimcheon, Südkorea geboren. Bereits im Alter von zehn Jahren begann sie mit ihrer Gesangsausbildung und erhielt Auszeichnungen bei verschiedenen Wettbewerben. Im Anschluss studierte sie Gesang an der Keimyung Universität in Daegu bei Seokbae Ha als Beste des Jahrgangs. Sie gewann 2016 den Sonderpreis im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs Ismaele Voltolini in Italien und den Großen Preis beim Nationalen Gesangswettbewerb in Südkorea.
Ihr Debüt als Sängerin gab sie im Jahr 2016 im Daegu Opera Hause, wo sie als Pamina und Papagena / DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, als Fiordiligi / COSI FAN TUTTE und Musetta / LA BOHÉME in Erscheinung trat.
Mit der Saison 2018/2019 wechselt sie als Stipendiatin des WCN Südkorea in Ensemble der Deutschen Oper Berlin, wo sie u. a. Partien wie Frasquita / CARMEN, Pamina / DAS MÄRCHEN VON DER ZAUBEFLÖTE, Pepik und Heuschrecke / DAS SCHLAUE FÜCHSLEIN, Erste Dame / DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, Garcias / DON QUICHOTTE, Yvette / LA RONDINE, Anna / NABUCCO oder Hirt / TANNHÄUSER Interpretieren wird.
