Als Initiatorin und Partnerin verschiedener europäischer Netzwerke realisierte sie Projekte zur Förderung junger Künstler/innen u.a. ‚dance roads‘ und ‚Repérages‘. 1993 gründete sie als künstlerische Leiterin das Festival Pictures of (e)Motion, ein Forum für die Entwicklung von innovativen Projekten im Bereich Tanz, Film und neue Medientechnologien in der Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn. 1999 war sie Produktionsleiterin für die internationale Künstlerwerkstatt körper.technik//body.technology (Theater der Welt, Berlin) und das Internationale Tanzfestival NRW – millennium moves. Zusammen mit ihrer Projektpartnerin Heike Lehmke realisierte sie seit 1998 zahlreiche internationale Veranstaltungsreihen, Festivals und Tanzfilmprogramme, die neue Entwicklungen des zeitgenössischen Tanzes repräsentierten. Sie war Jurymitglied im Beirat der Tanzplattform Deutschland 2006 und von 2003-08 Tanzkuratorin für das Theater Heilbronn. Seit 2005 ist sie Projektleiterin des Tanzplan Deutschland, eine Initiative der Kulturstiftung des Bundes.

has a degree in law. From 1989 to 2004 she was managing and artistic director of tanz performance köln. As an initiator of and partner in various European networks, she realized projects that supported young artists, including ‘dance roads‘ and ‘Repérages‘. In 1993 Ritter founded and became the artistic director of the Pictures of (e)Motion festival, a forum meant to develop innovative dance, film, and new media technology projects at the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn. In 1999 she was the production director for an international artists’ workshop known as ‘körper.technik//body.technology’ (Theater der Welt, Berlin) and for the Internationales Tanzfestival NRW – millennium moves. Since 1998 Ritter and her project partner, Heike Lehmke, have realized several series of international events, festivals, and dance/film programmes, which represent new developments in contemporary dance. Ritter was a member of the jury for the Dance Platform Germany 2006 and from 2003 until 2008 dance curator for the Theater Heilbronn. Since 2005, she is project director of Tanzplan Deutschland, an initiative of the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
