Studium Bühnentanz in Hannover und New York sowie Diplomstudium Tanzpädagogik in Köln. Seit 1988 als Tänzer, Choreograph, Trainingsleiter und choreographischer Mitarbeiter national und international tätig u.a. beim Tanzforum Köln, Tanztheater Bremen, Island Ballett in Reykjavik. Darüber hinaus sowohl praxisbezogene Lehrtätigkeit als auch Vorträge an verschiedenen Hochschulen und Universitäten. Seit 2005 Leiter der Ausbildungsprojekte von Tanzplan Deutschland, eine Initiative der Kulturstiftung des Bundes; hier vor allem Initiator und Moderator des Austauschs der Ausbildungsinstitutionen für Tanz sowie Tanzpädagogik in Deutschland und – gemeinsam mit Bettina Masuch – künstlerischer Leiter der 1. Biennale Tanzausbildung/Tanzplan Deutschland. Derzeit: Entwicklung eines internationalen Hochschulprojektes, das sich der Erforschung unterschiedlicher Tanztechniken an der Schnittstelle von Praxis und Theorie widmet, und das Ende 2010 als Publikation in Deutsch und Englisch vorliegen wird.

studied stage dance in Hannover and New York and did his diploma in dance pedagogy in Cologne. He has been active since 1988 as a dancer, choreographer, trainer and choreographic assistant in Germany and abroad, among others, with Tanzforum Köln, Tanztheater Bremen and Iceland Ballet in Reykjavik. He has additionally been engaged in practice-oriented teaching and also delivers lectures at various academies and universities. Since 2005 director of the education projects of Tanzplan Deutschland, an initiative of the German Federal Cultural Foundation, where he is predominantly active as initiator and moderator of the exchange between educational institutions for dance and dance pedagogy in Germany, and – together with Bettina Masuch – artistic director of the 1st Biennale Tanzausbildung/Tanzplan Deutschland. He is currently developing an international university project dedicated to researching various dance techniques at the interface of practice and theory, which will be published at the end of 2010 in English and German.
