Fellow am Collège international de philosophie in Paris, ist Tanzwissenschaftler und Publizist in Deutschland. Studium der Hispanistik, Kunstgeschichte und Theaterwissenschaft an der Freien Universität Berlin, 1998 Promotion. 2003/4 kommissarischer Geschäftsführer am Tanzarchiv Leipzig, 2004 bis 2006 Forschungsstipendiat am Centre National de la Danse, Paris. 2006 Mitarbeit zur Entwicklung des Pilotstudiengangs ‚Zeitgenössischer Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie‘ im Rahmen des Hochschulübergreifenden Zentrums Tanz Berlin, seit 2008 dort Gastprofessur. Projektkoordinator des Verbund Deutsche Tanzarchive im Auftrag von Tanzplan Deutschland. Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen, Vorträge, Workshops zu Aspekten des zeitgenössischen Tanzes, des Archivwesens, der Kulturpolitik sowie der Geschichte von Bewegungskulturen. Zuletzt erschien die Monographie ‚In aller Freiheit. Tanzkultur in Frankreich zwischen 1930 und 1950‘.

Fellow at the Collège international de philosophie in Paris, is a dance scholar and publicist in Germany. He studied Spanish language and literature, art history and theatre studies at the Freie Universität Berlin and did his doctorate in 1998. 2003/4 deputy managing director at Tanzarchiv Leipzig, 2004 to 2006 research grant at the Centre National de la Danse, Paris. 2006 participation in developing the pilot course of studies ‘contemporary dance, context, choreography’ within the framework of the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin, where he has been a visiting professor since 2008. Project coordinator of the Verbund Deutsche Tanzarchive commissioned by Tanzplan Deutschland. Numerous publications, lectures and workshops dealing with aspects of contemporary dance, archives, cultural politics, as well as the history of movement cultures.
