The dance archives and media libraries in Germany look after records of dance from the past and document contemporary artistic work. Their common goal is to preserve dance as a cultural heritage. In an open discussion, dance artists and archivists will talk about their ways of working, the topics of and passion for archiving dance. The issues to be discussed will also include digitisation, the use of archives as an artistic resource and their future role for practice, research and teaching.
