Alexei Botnarciuc, Bass, wurde in Moldawien geboren. Er studierte an der Musikakademie in Chisinau und gewann zahlreiche Preise, u. a. beim VoxArtis-Wettbewerb in Rumänien (2012) und beim Stanislaw-Moniuszko-Wettbewerb in Polen (2013).

Seit 2010 ist Alexei Botnarciuc als Solist an der Moldawischen Nationaloper in Chisinau engagiert, wo er u. a. als Leporello / DON GIOVANNI, Don Basilio / DER BARBIER VON SEVILLA, Colline / LA BOHEME, Sparafucile / RIGOLETTO, Gran Sacerdote / NABUCCO, Gremin / EUGEN ONEGIN, König René / IOLANTA zu erleben war.
In der Spielzeit 2014/2015 gab er sein Debüt an der Pariser Opéra Bastille als Ramfis / AIDA. Er war Mitglied des Internationalen Opernstudios des Opernhauses Zürich und war dort u. a. als Narumov / PIQUE DAME, Ramfis sowie in SALOME, DON CARLO und DAS MÄDCHEN AUS DEM GOLDENEN WESTEN zu erleben. In der Saison 2016/2017 war er der Deutschen Oper Berlin als Manfred-Strohscheer-Stipendiat verbunden.
