Simon Nabatov hat eine komplizierte Identitätsgeschichte – seine jüdisch-sowjetische Herkunft, die zweifache Immigration (erst USA, dann Deutschland) mit den entsprechenden kulturellen Veränderungen. Alles das sorgte für eine „non-lineare“ Entwicklung seiner kulturellen Identität. Bei dem Projekt Your ID please! möchte er sich mit diesem sehr persönlichen Thema auseinandersetzen.
Ausgehend von klarer Polarität, über verschiedene Mischformen, Verschmelzung, Morphing, Auseinanderfallen und Neu-Zusammensetzen werden alle Register der seelischen Zustände, bis hin zur Zerrissenheit und zurück, musikalisch dargestellt.

Simon Nabatov has a complicated identity history – his Jewish-Soviet origins, his double immigration (first to the USA, then to Germany) with the corresponding cultural changes. All of this has led to a „non-linear“ development of his cultural identity. In the Your ID please! project, he wants to explore this very personal topic.
Starting from clear polarity, through various mixed forms, merging, morphing, falling apart and reassembling, all registers of mental states, right up to disruption and back, are musically represented.
