Das vor kurzem gegründete Trio mit Sitz in Italien und Deutschland hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die zeitgenössische Musik zu präsentieren und dabei die Musiksprache der einzelnen Bandmitglieder zu erforschen und zu einem gemeinsamen und einzigartigen Gruppensound zusammenzubringen.
Die ungewöhnliche Besetzung ohne Kontrabass bietet ein breites Spektrum an Kompositions- und Improvisationsmöglichkeiten.
Yaroslav Likhachev und Giovanni Iacovella, Saxophonist und Schlagzeuger des Trios, beide sind auch als Komponisten tätig, haben eine erkennbare musikalische Identität und Reife in horizontalen, atonalen und polymetrischen Kompositionen entwickelt, die in der pianistischen und kompositorischen Sprache des Pianisten Donatello D’Attoma einen fruchtbaren Boden gefunden haben – letzterer steht den stilistischen Nuancen des Great American Songbook ebenso nahe wie der Ästhetik des Free-Jazz.

The recently formed Italy/Germany – based trio has set the goal of presenting contemporary music, researching and bringing together the musical languages of the individual band members to create a unique and recognizable group sound.
An unusual lineup without the double bass offers wide exploration and experimentation in both composition and improvisation.
Yaroslav Likhachev and Giovanni Iacovella, respectively saxophonist and drummer of the trio, both also composers, have developed a recognizable musical identity and maturity in more horizontal, atonal, and polymetric writing that has found fertile ground in the pianistic and compositional language of pianist Donatello D’Attoma the latter close as much to the stylistic nuances of the Great American Songbook as to the aesthetics of free-jazz.
