Die Berliner Kostüm- und Bühnenbildnerin Yashi absolvierte ihr Studium an der Universität der Künste. Eine enge Zusammenarbeit verbindet sie seit 1999 mit dem Regisseur Robert Wilson. Sie entwarf für ihn Kostüme u.a. für die Produktionen KRAPP’S LAST TAPE (Spoleto), RUMI – IN THE BLINK OF THE EYE (Athen), KATJA KABANOWA (Prag) und LA TRAVIATA. Seit 2000 arbeitet sie als freischaffende Bühnen- und Kostümbildnerin im Bereich Theater, Oper und Film u.a. mit Adriana Altaras, Jean-Yves Courregelongue und Hans Neuenfels. Für die Regisseurin Marie-Ève Signeyrole entwirft sie seit 2013 regelmäßig Kostümbilder, u. a. für EUGEN ONEGIN an der Opéra national de Montpellier, OWEN WINGRAVE, CENDRILLON und DON GIOVANNI sowie jüngst für TURANDOT an der Semperoper. Nach ihrer Zusammenarbeit mit Signeyrole für die Uraufführung von NEGAR in der Tischlerei kehrt sie nun an die Hauptbühne der Deutschen Oper Berlin zurück.
