Xinjie Hu begann im Alter von neun Jahren mit dem Klarinettenspiel. Xinjie Hu begann im Alter von neun Jahren mit dem Klarinettenspiel. Er war Soloklarinettist im Schulorchester der Huangpuschule in Shanghai. 2018 gewann er den ersten Preis beim Hong Kong International Music Festival, beim Shanghai-Schülerkunst-Wettbewerb machte er den dritten Platz in der Kategorie Holzblasinstrumente (Kinder). 2019 gewann er beim selben Wettbewerb den ersten Preis. Schon früh sammelte er Erfahrungen als Mitglied in verschiedenen Orchesterkonzerten. Ab 2021 studierte Xinjie Hu Klarinette bei Prof. Johannes Gmeinder an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig, ehe er im Oktober 2023 sein Studium bei Prof. Marco Thomas an der Hochschule für Künste Bremen aufnahm.
