Seit 2005 ist er als freiberuflicher Komponist für Theatermusik tätig, u.a. am Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Dresden, Volkstheater Wien, Kampnagel Hamburg und Teatro National Sibiu.
Zusätzlich ist er ein gefragter Studiomusiker und Produzent und kollaboriert mit internationalen Künstlern verschiedener Stilrichtungen, z.B. Kat Frankie (AUS), Serengeti (USA) und Mousse T (D).
Auf dem eigenen Label „blankrecords“ veröffentlicht er diverse eigene Projekte und bietet auch jungen, nicht etablierten Musikern eine Plattform. Neben dem Electronic-Jazz-Duo MINI POPS JUNIOR steht vor allem sein Solo-Projekt SICKER MAN im Mittelpunkt seines musikalischen Schaffens.
In der Spielzeit 2019/20 übernimmt er am Schauspiel Hannover die musikalische Leitung für „Held*innen" in der Regie von Friederike Schubert.
