Thomas Richter (Zweiter Chordirektor), geboren 1966 in Duisburg, studierte evangelische Kirchenmusik an der Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Nach dem abschließenden A-Examen und dem Konzertexamen für Orgel folgte das Studium der Fächer Dirigieren und Korrepetition an der damaligen HdK in Berlin. Mit der Spielzeit 1996/97 wurde er Korrepetitor des Chores der Deutschen Oper Berlin, der in der Kritikerumfrage der Zeitschrift Opernwelt 2008 und 2009 zum Chor des Jahres gewählt wurde. Seit April 2008 ist er dessen stellvertretender Chordirektor und erhielt zuletzt für seine Arbeit in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA große Anerkennung.
