Auf dem eigenen Plattenlabel shaa-music Veröffentlichung zahlreicher Produktionen wie dem Stefan Heidtmann Project (mit Gerd Dudek und Reiner Winterschladen), Ornaments of Light and Sound (featuring Roger Hanschel und Klaus Kugel), windsleepers (um die Straßburger Musiker Christine Clément und Roby Glod). Preisträger beim jazz a r t - Festival 2002 mit dem Stefan Heidtmann Project. Tourneen in Europa und Lateinamerika (u. a. deutscher Beitrag beim EURO-Jazz-Festival in Mexiko-City 2002). Diverse Rundfunkproduktionen (Hörfunk und Fernsehen) z. B. für WDR und SWR.
In der letzten Zeit Integration seiner Musik in ein audio-visuelles Umfeld - z. B. im Projekt "Soundscapes" mit dem Obertonsänger und Multiinstrumentalisten Christian Bollmann. Heidtmanns Konzerte - auch im solistischen Bereich - werden zunehmend durch die Arbeit mit dem Edirol "Visual Synthesizer" unterstützt, der Bildmaterial mit Hilfe musikalischer Impulse direkt kreativ verarbeitet.
