Rebecca Hohmann studierte angewandte Kulturwissenschaften an der Universität Hildesheim, an der sie später Lehrtätigkeiten am Institut für Theater- und Medienwissenschaften übernahm. Rebecca Hohmann studierte angewandte Kulturwissenschaften an der Universität Hildesheim, an der sie später Lehrtätigkeiten am Institut für Theater- und Medienwissenschaften übernahm. Studienbegleitend und danach war sie in verschiedenen freien Theater- und Musikgruppen tätig. Ihr erstes Engagement erhielt sie 1993 am Staatstheater Braunschweig. 1996 zog sie nach Bremen und arbeitete von 1997 bis 1999 im ev. Bildungszentrum Bad Bederkesa als Leiterin des Fachbereichs Kulturelle Bildung. 1999 wechselte sie als Dramaturgin ans Moks und übernahm 2004 unter der Intendanz von Klaus Pierwoß die künstlerische Leitung des Moks. Im Jahr 2005 entstand unter ihrer Leitung „Junge Akteure – die Moks Theaterschule“. In den Spielzeiten 2010/11 und 2011/12 war sie Mitglied der künstlerischen Leitung des Theater Bremen. Rebecca Hohmann ist seit Beginn der Intendanz von Michael Börgerding weiterhin die Künstlerische Leiterin des Moks.
