About me
lich nahm er an Meisterkursen u. a. bei Charles Spencer und Cornelius Reid teil. Bereits während seines Studiums gewann er mehrere Preise bei verschiedenen Wettbewerben. Wichtige Stationen seiner sängerischen Laufbahn waren Konzerte mit Ensembles wie der Gächinger Kantorei und dem Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, dem Württembergischen Kammerorchester Heilbronn, den St. Petersburger Philharmonikern und dem Rundfunksinfonie-Orchester Stuttgart des SWR. Liederabende führten ihn nach Österreich, Italien und Deutschland. Gastverträge verbinden ihn mit den Opernhäusern in Stuttgart und Mannheim. Seit der Spielzeit 2004/05 ist Michael Nagy Ensemblemitglied der Komischen Oper Berlin und sang u. a. den Anthony Hope im Musical Thriller Sweeney Todd, den Grafen Almaviva in Die Hochzeit des Figaro und den Sid in Albert Herring. In der Spielzeit 2005/06 wird er u. a. als Guglielmo in Così fan tutte und als Falke in Die Fledermaus auftreten.

The Bariton who comes from Stuttgart began his musical training with the Stuttgart Hymnus-Chorknaben. In 1995 he was Bundespreisträger with »Jugend musiziert« in the scopes of singing and song accompanying. Since 1996 he studied singing in Stuttgart, Mannheim and Saarbrücken with Luisa Bosabalian and Rudolf Piernay, song creating with Irwin Gage and conducting with Klaus Arp and Georg Grün, additionally he has taken part in masterclasses with Charles Spencer, Rudolf Piernay and Cornelius Reid. Already during his studies he won several awards at different competitions. Important stages of his career as a singer were concerts with ensembles such as the Gächinger Kantorei and the Stuttgart Bach-Collegium, the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart of the SWR. Lieder recitals took him to Austria, Italy and Germany. Guest contracts link him to the Opera Houses of Stuttgart and Mannheim. Since the 2004/05 season Michael Nagy is member of the ensemble of the Komische Oper Berlin and sang amongst others Anthony Hope in the musical thriller Sweeney Todd, Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro and Sid in Albert Herring. In the 2005/06 season he will appear as Guglielmo in Così fan tutte and as Falke in The Bat.
