Matthew Price ist 11 Jahre alt und besucht die Fortismere School in London. Er ist Mitglied des Finchley Children’s Music Group Senior Choir und hat bereits mit seinem Chor an der Aufführung von Brittens Frühlingssinfonie in der Londoner Barbican Hall teilgenommen. Weitere Aufführungserfahrungen hat er durch die FCMG-Produktion von Malcolm Singers Oper „The Jailer’s Tale“ und durch seine Mitwirkung im Musical-Theater mit der jungen Theatergruppe „Full Circle“. Matthew Price nimmt Unterricht in Violoncello und Klavier und ist Mitglied der National Childrens’ Orchestras of Great Britain. In diesem Jahr feierte die Orchestervereinigung ihr 35-jähriges Bestehen mit einem Galakonzert in der Birmingham Symphony Hall, an dem Matthew Price auch beteiligt war. 2011 gewann er den Jugendmusikpreis der Unter -10-Jährigen im Youth Music Centre London. Er musiziert außerdem mit den Haringey Young Musicians und war im Juli 2013 Solist bei der Aufführung der Orchesterfassung von Camille Saint-Saëns „Allegro Appassionato“.
