Marcus Richardt wurde in Merseburg geboren. 2002 beginnt er das Studium der Visuellen Kommunikation mit Schwerpunkt Film an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss gründet er 2010 die FAVO Filmproduktion. Seine Kurzspielfilme „Mars“, „Connected by Drums“ und „Der Passagier“ liefen auf Filmfestivals weltweit, gewannen u. a. den Kurzfilmpreis der Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck („Mars“) und erhielten das Prädikat „besonders wertvoll“ („Der Passagier“). 2012 gewinnt er mit FAVO Film den ECHO Klassik für die beste Musik-DVD-Produktion des Jahres und den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Marcus Richardt lebt als Autor, Regisseur und Produzent in Hamburg.
