Der Bass-Bariton Manuel Fuentes Figueira wurde 1996 in Crevillente (Alicante) geboren. Mit Hilfe der Pianistin Francisca García lernte er schon früh musikalischen Ausdruck, Harmonie und das Klavierspiel. Er studierte Gesang bei renommierten Professoren wie dem Tenor José Sempere, dem Bariton Carlos Álvarez und den Sopranistinnen Mariella Devia und Ana María Sánchez. 2019 gab er sein Debüt am Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid und ein Jahr später erhielt er den Plácido Domingo Award beim internationalen Gesangswettbewerb Tenor Viñas in Barcelona. Unter anderem ist er auch dreimaliger Gewinner des VII. Internationalen Alfredo-Kraus-Gesangswettbewerbs auf Teneriffa, wo er den ersten Preis, den Publikumspreis und den Preis für den besten spanischen Sänger gewann.
Während seiner Gesangskarriere wirkte er in zahlreichen Opernproduktionen mit, darunter NABUCCO, LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA und IL TROVATORE, LA BOHÈME, RIGOLETTO, in Philip Glass' ORPHÉE, in I PURITANI, AIDA und MARIA STUARDA.
