Johannes Petersen* (Vorspieler, Violoncello), geboren in Güstrow, erhielt achtjährig ersten Cellounterricht. Dem Besuch der Spezialschule für Musik, Berlin, folgte ein Studium an der Hochschule für Musik »Hanns Eisler« bei Prof. Josef Schwab. Nach mehrjähriger Tätigkeit als Solocellist im Großen Rundfunkorchester Berlin (gleichzeitig Mitglied des Aulin-Quartetts), absolvierte er 1990 ein Zusatzstudium bei Prof. Wolfgang Boettcher an der HdK Berlin.
Seit 1990 gehört er zum Orchester der Deutschen Oper Berlin, seit 1993 als Vorspieler. Er ist Preisträger verschiedener internationaler Kammermusikwettbewerbe. Auch bei den Bayreuther Festspielen wirkte er mehrfach mit. Seit 1996 ist er überdies Mitglied des renommierten Kammerorchesters »Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach«. Verschiedene Aufnahmen liegen vor, zahlreiche Konzerte führten ihn durchs In- und Ausland.
