Janna Horstmann, gebürtige Karlsruherin, arbeitete nach Abschluss ihres Schauspielstudiums 2009 an der Universität der Künste Berlin freischaffend unter anderem am Deutschen Theater Berlin, am Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, am Theaterhaus Jena, am Grenzlandtheater Aachen, bei den Festspielen Bad Hersfeld und am Theater Lübeck. Mit dem Theaterkollektiv copy&waste erarbeitete sie seit 2009 zahlreiche Produktionen, unter anderem am HAU Berlin und dem Ringlokschuppen Mülheim an der Ruhr, bis sie 2016 festes Ensemblemitglied am Theater Oberhausen wurde. Sie arbeitete regelmäßig im Film- und Fernsehbereich und spielte in Kinofilmen von Brian de Palma, Anika Decker und Caroline Herfurth. 2013 gewann sie mit dem Film FLIEHKRAFT von Benjamin Teske den Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis. Zudem ist sie regelmäßig für Deutschlandradio Kultur, SWR und den BR als Sprecherin tätig.
