Jana Degebrodt wurde in Freiburg geboren und studierte Gesang, Schauspiel und Tanz an der Folkwang Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Essen. Nach ihrem Abschluss folgten Engagements an Theatern in Gelsenkirchen, Wuppertal, Frankfurt, Konstanz, Berlin u.a. als Pamina und erste Dame in »Die Zauberflöte«, Norina in »Don Pasquale«, Annina in »Eine Nacht in Venedig« und Polly in der »Dreigroschenoper«. Ihr breitgefächertes Repertoire umfasst ebenfalls zeitgenössische Oper sowie Lied, darunter Schostakowitschs »Gesänge nach jüdischer Volkspoesie«, Schumanns »Dichterliebe«, Brahms »Liebeslieder-Walzer« sowie Mahlers Rückert-Lieder. Als Konzertsängerin war sie in den großen Konzert hallen in Deutschland, der Schweiz, Spanien, Luxemburg und England zu Gast. Ein besonderes Highlight waren die Konzertreisen mit dem Klassik Radio Pops Orchestra 2016/17. Seit 2014 ist sie Ensemblemitglied der Kleinen Oper Bad Homburg und regelmäßiger Gast der Kammeroper Frankfurt.
