Sie schrieb das Schauspiel »Gegenlicht« (UA 2009) sowie die Libretti für mehrere Opern, u. a. »Kryos« (2010), eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem Komponisten Jörn Arnecke, und »Matsukaze« (2011) mit dem Komponisten Toshio Hosokawa. Hannah Dübgen arbeitete im Auftrag des Theater Bremen, des Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie/Brüssel und des Royal Opera House/London. Ihre Arbeit wurde mit Stipendien der Akademie Musiktheater Heute (Deutsche Bank Stiftung), der Ligerzer Opernwerkstatt/Schweiz und der Artists Residence/Herzliya, Israel gefördert. Ihr Roman »Strom« erscheint im August 2013 bei dtv.
