Gideon Davey arbeitet für Theater, Film und Fernsehen. So entwarf er u.a. Bühne und Kostüme für Don Giovanni an der Oper Köln, für die Oper Powder Her Face im Almeida Theatre in London sowie die Kostüme für Der Zigeunerbaron und Faust an der Wiener Volksoper (alle in der Inszenierung von David Alden), Macbeth und Pélleas et Mélisande an der City of Birmingham Touring Opera, Don Pasquale in Maastricht, The Banquet in Genua und Rom, für Giasone beim Spoleto Festival und für Le nozze di Figaro in einer BBC-Fernsehfassung. Außerdem entwarf er die Kos-tüme für eine Vorführung der Winterreise mit Ian Bostridge. Auch war er Produktionsdesigner des Feature-Films Die neun Leben des Tomas Katz.
Alcina ist seine erste Austattungs-Arbeit an der Komischen Oper Berlin.
