Gertrud Pigor, geboren 1958 in Bad Neustadt/Saale studierte Philosophie und Bildende Kunst, spezialisierte sich zunächst auf Figuren- und Objekttheater und kam über Regieassistenzen am Stadsteater Stockholm und am Staatstheater Braunschweig zum Kinder- und Jugendtheater. Seit 1996 arbeitet sie als freie Regisseurin und Autorin, u. a. an den Theatern Kiel, Saarbrücken und Linz und seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2005 regelmäßig am Jungen SchauSpielHaus Hamburg. Zum Repertoire des Jungen SchauSpielHauses gehören zur Zeit ihre Inszenierungen von Paul Maars »In einem tiefen, dunklen Wald«, von Ulrich Hubs »An der Arche um Acht« und »Ein Schaf fürs Leben« nach dem Bilderbuch von Maritgen Matter. In der Spielzeit 2018-19 wird Gertrud Pigor ihr neues Stück »Tiere im Hotel« im Jungen SchauSpielHaus inszenieren. Die Uraufführung findet am 24/11/2018 auf der Großen ProbeBühne.
