Die Regisseurin Franziska Angerer lebt und arbeitet in München. Engagements führten sie u. a. an das Staatstheater Darmstadt, die Bayerische Staatsoper, das Residenztheater München, das SPIELART Theaterfestival in München sowie das Eclat Festival für Neue Musik. Ihr Interesse gilt der Entwicklung von musiktheatralen und genreübergreifenden Formen, für die sie sinnliche und poetische Zugänge findet. In ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich unter anderem mit dem Verhältnis zwischen Mensch und Natur und dem Ende des Anthropozäns. Sie ist Preisträgerin des Dr.-Otto-Kasten-Preises 2021 der Intendant*innengruppe des Deutschen Bühnenvereins und wurde beim Götz-Friedrich-Preis 2021 ausgezeichnet.
