Der in Aschaffenburg geborene Frank Valentin war als Kind Mitglied der Aschaffenburger Stiftschorknaben. Nach den Gesangsstudium an der Folkwanghochschule in Essen arbeitete er u.a. mit Catherine Gayer, Claudia Eder, Evelyn Dalberg, Norman Shetler, Thomas Hampson, Axel Köhler und John Dew. Er war Stipendiat der Kammeroper Rheinsberg sowie der Folkwang- Stiftung Essen. Seit 1998 ist Frank Valentin mit dem Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach verbunden, 2002 wurde er für seine Interpretation des Teufels in Detlev Glanerts Oper „Scherz, Satire, Ironie und tiefere Bedeutung“ zum besten Nachwuchssänger Nordrhein-Westfalens gewählt. Erfolgreich gastierte er an den Opern Dortmund, Wuppertal, Bielefeld und Regensburg. Am Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach war er u.a. in folgenden Partien zu erleben: Ernesto in „Die Welt auf dem Mond (Joseph Haydn), Apollo in „Death in Venice“ (Benjamin Britten), Andronico in „Tamerlano“ (G.F.Händel), Confèrencier in „Der Riese vom Steinfeld“ (Friedrich Cerha), Schmuel in „Das Frauenorchester von Auschwitz“ (Stefan Heucke).
