Studium der Literaturwissenschaft in Berlin, Havanna und Paris. 2006 Promotion zum Doktor der Philosophie mit einer Dissertation über die Chroniken der Entdeckung Amerikas. Bayerischer Filmpreis 2006 für den Dokumentarfilm »Havanna – Die neue Kunst, Ruinen zu bauen«. Er ist als Filmemacher und Literaturkritiker für die F.A.Z. sowie als Autor für die Fernsehkulturmagazine aspekte, Kulturzeit und Foyer tätig und kuratiert das Internationale Programm beim Filmfest München. Seit der Spielzeit 2011/12 Dramaturg an der Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz.
