Deborah Saffery, Mezzosopran, begann ihre Gesangsstudien bei Richard Kistler an der Pontificie Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. 2011 setzte sie ihr Studium bei Towako Sato-Schöllhorn an der Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg fort. 2018 schloss sie ihr Studium an der Dutch National Opera Academy mit summa cum laude ab und erhielt im Anschluss ein Stipendium der Ibañez-Adkinson-Stiftung....
Deborah Saffery, Mezzosopran, begann ihre Gesangsstudien bei Richard Kistler an der Pontificie Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. 2011 setzte sie ihr Studium bei Towako Sato-Schöllhorn an der Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg fort. 2018 schloss sie ihr Studium an der Dutch National Opera Academy mit summa cum laude ab und erhielt im Anschluss ein Stipendium der Ibañez-Adkinson-Stiftung. Im Rahmen der Dutch National Opera Academy hat sie Le Prince Charmant in Jules Massenets CENDRILLON, Hänsel in HÄNSEL UND GRETEL, Lucretia in THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA von Benjamin Britten und Dorabella in COSÍ FAN TUTTE gesungen. Zudem war sie u. a. als Page in RIGOLETTO an der Holländischen Nationaloper engagiert.
An der Staatsoper Stuttgart übernahm Deborah Saffery bereits Partien wie Dritte Hofdame in DER PRINZ VON HOMBURG und Die Kurtisane in DIE VERURTEILUNG DES LUKULLUS sowie Dargelos / Agathe in LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES an der Jungen Oper im Nord (JOiN). 2023/24 ist Deborah Saffery als Second Secretary to Mao (NIXON IN CHINA) und als Floßhilde (DAS RHEINGOLD) an der Staatsoper Stuttgart zu erleben.
Zu ihrem breiten Konzertrepertoire gehören u. a. Bachs „Matthäus-Passion“, Mozarts c-Moll-Messe und Rossinis „Petite Messe Solenelle“.
Meisterkurse besuchte sie u. a. bei Julie Kennard, Ira Siff, Willard White, Anna Bonitatibus, Petro Spagnoli, Ivor Bolton und Kenneth Montgomery. 2017 erhielt sie einen Preis für Konzert bei der Pustina International Voice Competition in Jihlava.
