Darie Cardyn, geboren 1961 in Brüssel, absolvierte ihre Tanz-, Gesangs- und Schauspielausbildung an der Mudra Schule Maurice Béjart Bruxelles. 1980 bis 1995 war die Belgierin als Tänzerin am Tanz-Forum der Oper Köln engagiert; dort tanzte sie in zahlreichen Choreographien u.a. von Jochen Ulrich, Hans van Manen, Kurt Jooss und Jennifer Muller. Als Solistin tanzte Darie Cardyn Rollen wie Anitra in Peer Gynt, Eurydike und Madame La Mort in Orpheus sowie Lulu und Carmen in den gleichnamigen Tanzstücken. Zudem war Darie Cardyn auch als Schauspielerin an verschiedenen Bühnen Deutschlands engagiert. 1995 bis 2000 übernahm Darie Cardyn die künstlerische Leitung der Tanzschule TOC-TanzOffensiveCöln. 1997 bis 1999 war sie Gastdozentin am Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck. 2001 trainierte sie das Akrobatik Team Belgiens. Als Choreographin betreute Darie Cardyn mehrere Stücke, beispielsweise 2002 ORPHEUS IN DER UNTERWELT am Theater Basel und 2003 SALOME in Zürich.
