Sie spielte u.a. die Titelrollen in »Romeo und Julia« im Theater im Palast (Regie: Schroth/Kleinert), in »Macbeth« (Regie: Heiner Müller) an der Volksbühne am Rosa Luxemburg-Platz und im »Urfaust« am Berliner Ensemble (Regie: Horst Sagert). In der Spielzeit 1990/91 Mitglied im Ensemble des Deutschen Theaters Berlin. An der Volksbühne spielte sie anschließend u.a. in Frank Castorfs Inszenierungen »Die Frau am Meer« (1994) und »Des Teufels General« (1996/97, Gertrud-Eysoldt-Ring) und am Berliner Ensemble in „Eva, Hitlers Geliebte“ (Regie: Stefan Suschke). 1997 in der Kritikerumfrage der Zeitschrift »Theater heute« zur Schauspielerin des Jahres gewählt. Danach Rollen in »Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Magagonny« (Deutsche Oper Berlin, Regie: Günther Krämer), »Tochter der Luft« (Burgtheater Wien, Regie: Frank Castorf), »Szene Penthesilea Ein Traum« (Oper von Christian Ofenbauer, Wiener Festwochen 2001, Rolle: Herold) und »Stella« (Deutsches Theater Berlin 2002, Regie: Stefan Kimmig).
