Die schwedische Sopranistin Christina Nilsson gab in der Saison 2017/18 ihr Rollendebüt als Aida an der Königlichen Schwedischen Oper Stockholm und sang die Rolle seitdem an der Semperoper Dresden, an der Deutschen Oper Berlin und in diesem Frühjahr am Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
An der Königlichen Schwedischen Oper hat Nilsson die Rollen der Tosca, der Contessa Almaviva / LE NOZZE DI FIGARO und die Titelrolle in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS gesungen. Christina Nilsson war zu Gast an Bühnen wie der Oper Frankfurt, den Tiroler Festspielen Erl und der Opéra de Lyon.
2019 sang Christina Nilsson ihre erste Elsa in LOHENGRIN am Theater Dortmund und in diesem Winter gab sie ihr Rollen- und Hausdebüt an der Bayerischen Staatsoper als Rosalinde in DIE FLEDERMAUS.
Christina Nilsson wurde im südschwedischen Ystad geboren und schloss 2017 ihr Studium an der Hochschule für Oper in Stockholm mit dem Master ab.
