Der Posaunist Christopher Lüers ist 1989 in Hamburg geboren. Von 2010 bis 2015 studierte er Jazzposaune und Klavier in Hannover bei Ed Kröger und in Hamburg bei Nils Landgren, Joachim Preu und Dan Gottshall. Der Posaunist Christopher Lüers ist 1989 in Hamburg geboren. Von 2010 bis 2015 studierte er Jazzposaune und Klavier in Hannover bei Ed Kröger und in Hamburg bei Nils Landgren, Joachim Preu und Dan Gottshall. Er spielte für viele Hamburg Bigbands, wie dem JazzHaus Orchester, der Downtown Bigband, der Count Pauli Bigband und auch der NDR Bigband. Außerdem arbeitete er mit verschiedenen internationalen Künstlern wie Kenny Wheeler oder Curtis Stigers auf dem ELBJAZZ Festival und zuletzt mit dem New Yorker Bassposaunisten Dave Taylor auf dem OUTREACH Jazzfestival in Schwaz, Tirol. 2015 war er Träger des Masefield-Stipendiums. Seit 2015 ist er regelmäßig als Posaunist, Kontrabassist und Komponist für verschiedene Theater in Hamburg tätig (u. a. Thalia Theater, Kampnagel und Deutsches Schauspielhaus). Außerdem ist er aktives Mitglied der Bands Le Fly und Meute sowie Gründungsmitglied der Jazzband „We don’t suck, we blow!“. Am Theater Bremen gehörte er zur Band der „Dreigroschenoper“.
