Die aus Südkorea stammende Sopranistin Bini Lee begann 1998 ihr Gesangsstudium an der Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin und absolvierte es mit Auszeichnung an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in München. Schon während der Studienzeit nahm sie am Schlossopernfestival Rheinsberg und am Kurt-Weill-Festival in Dessau teil, 2002 war sie Preisträgerin beim Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb der Festspielstadt Passau und erhielt den Preis des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes (DAAD).
Von 2002 bis 2007 war sie als festes Ensemblemitglied am Theater Vorpommern in zahlreichen Fachpartien zu sehen. Weiterhin gastierte sie im Staatstheater Oldenburg und im Nordharzer Städtebundtheater. Sie trat bei Liederabenden und Konzerten z. B. bei den Darmstädter Residenzfestspielen, bei der Operngala in Tokyo „Bunka Center“ und dem Silvesterkonzert in der Essener Philharmonie auf. 2008 gastierte sie unter anderem als Cassiopeia in der szenisch uraufgeführten Oper ANDROMEDA LIBERATA von Vivaldi in München sowie beim Offenbach-Festival in Bad Ems. Seit 2009 arbeitet sie regelmäßig mit der Opern-Company „Novoflot“ in Berlin.
Im Rahmen der Saisoneröffnung 2012/2013 gab sie ihr Debüt an der Deutschen Oper Berlin als Das Mädchen in Helmut Lachenmanns DAS MÄDCHEN MIT DEN SCHWEFELHÖLZERN. Es folgte die Sopran-Partie im Kindermusiktheater OH, WIE SCHÖN IST PANAMA.
