Sie ist verheiratet mit dem Filmemacher und Kameramann Klaus Scheurich und hat einen Sohn. Sie ist Diplomgeologe und seit ihrer Studienzeit interessiert and Natur- und Umweltthemen.
1984 gründete sie zusammen mit ihrem Mann die Produktionsgesellschaft Marco Polo Film. Seither schrieb und produzierte sie zahllose Natur- und Expeditionsfilme, von denen viele internationale Preise gewannen. Annette Scheurich arbeitet für nationale und internationale Sender und Organisationen und produzierte Werner Herzog’s preisgekrönten Dokumentarfilm „The White Diamond“. Sie nimmt an Podiumsdiskussionen teil und hält Vorträge bei Kongressen, Festivals und Veranstaltungen wie z. B: Science, Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, Naturvision, Discovery Campus Symposium, etc.
Darüber hinaus reist sie gerne und ist immer auf der Suche nach neuen aufregenden Ideen.
