Annette Riedel wurde 1963 in Stuttgart geboren und machte zuerst eine Ausbildung als Tischlerin, bevor sie an der Staatlichen Kunstakademie Düsseldorf bei Karl Kneidl Bühnen- und Kostümbild studierte. Annette Riedel wurde 1963 in Stuttgart geboren und machte zuerst eine Ausbildung als Tischlerin, bevor sie an der Staatlichen Kunstakademie Düsseldorf bei Karl Kneidl Bühnen- und Kostümbild studierte. Von 1991 bis 1993 war sie dessen Assistentin am Berliner Ensemble. Dann wurde sie Ausstattungsleiterin am Theater Nordhausen, wo sie auf den Regisseur Armin Petras traf, ging in gleicher Funktion ans Staatstheater Kassel, und ans Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. Als freischaffende Bühnen- und Kostümbildnerin arbeitet sie für Schauspiel, Tanz und fürs Musiktheater, u. a. zusammen mit Sebastian Baumgarten, Jorinde Dröse, Peter Kastenmüller, Florian Fiedler und immer wieder mit Armin Petras. So auch am Theater Bremen bereits bei „Lulu – Ein Rock Vaudeville“, in der Spielzeit 21/22 bei „Milchwald“ und in der Spielzeit 24/25 bei der Uraufführung „Die Erfindung des Jazz im Donbass“.
