Geboren in Karlsruhe, studierte Anna Eiermann Bühne und Kostüm an der UDK in Berlin. Seitdem arbeitete sie an allen wichtigen Schauspiel- und Opernhäusern mit bedeutenden Regisseuren, u. a. mit Claus Peymann (Schlacht um Wien von Peter Turrini) und Ruth Berghaus (Der Kaukasische Kreidekreis von Bertolt Brecht) am Burgtheater Wien. Zu ihren zentralen Arbeiten der letzten Jahre zählen so unterschiedliche Produktionen wie Black Rider mit Michael Simon in Dortmund, Woyzeck an der Schaubühne Berlin, mehrere Arbeiten in Düsseldorf, Der Ring des Nibelungen mit Gisbert Jäkel in Graz, Das Käthchen von Heilbronn mit Andrea Breth am Burgtheater Wien, die Uraufführung von Begehren mit Reinhild Hoffmann in Graz (Gastspiel bei der RuhrTriennale), Fidelio mit Nikolaus Lehnhof in Salzburg, Titus Andronicus mit Hans Neuenfels am Deutschen Theater Berlin, Dr. Faustus lights the lights von Gertrude Stein mit Michael Simon am Gorki-Theater Berlin, die Uraufführung L’espace dernier von Matthias Pintscher an der Opera de la Bastille Paris, sowie Arbeiten in Hannover. Dort hatte Anna Eiermann auch ihre erste Zusammenarbeit mit Calixto Bieito bei dessen Inszenierung von La Traviata (2003).
Die Entführung aus dem Serail im Juni 2004 war ihre erste Arbeit mit Calixto Bieito an der Komischen Oper Berlin, Madame Butterfly in der Spielzeit 2005/06 ihre zweite.
