Andrew F. Simpson, Soloviolist des Sinfonie Orchesters Aachen seit 1988, wurde in Vancouver geboren und erhielt seinen ersten Klavier und Violinunterricht mit fünf Jahren. Er studierte mit Gerald Stanick, William Primrose, Georges Janzer und Zoltan Szekely u.a. am University of Western Ontario, Banff Center for the Performing Arts und Indiana University.

Andrew F. Simpson, Soloviolist des Sinfonie Orchesters Aachen seit 1988, wurde in Vancouver geboren und erhielt seinen ersten Klavier und Violinunterricht mit fünf Jahren. Er studierte mit Gerald Stanick, William Primrose, Georges Janzer und Zoltan Szekely u.a. am University of Western Ontario, Banff Center for the Performing Arts und Indiana University.
Die Teilnahme an zahlreichen Meisterkursen und Kammermusikunterricht bei namhaften Künstlern wie, Marcel Moyse, Robert Aitken, John Cage und Elliot Carter, Joseph Gingold, Rostislav Dubinsky, Janos Starker und Mistislav Rostropovitch, dem Fine Arts Quartett und dem Borodin Quartett vervollständigten seine Ausbildung. In den folgenden Jahren wirkte er als Mitglied des Chamber Arts Quartett bei zahlreichen Konzerten und Rundfunkaufnahmen in Nordamerika und Europa mit, und ist Preisträger beim Evian International String Quartet Competition.
Er spielt auf einer modernen deutschen Viola, die für ihn von Gottfried Raabs in 1989 gebaut wurde.
