Geboren in Bremerhaven, studierte Schauspiel an der Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Berlin. Ihre Arbeiten führten sie an das Schauspiel Köln, Schauspielhaus Zürich und die Kammerspiele München. Sie verbindet eine langjährige Zusammenarbeit mit René Pollesch. 2013 wird sie zur Nachwuchsschauspielerin des Jahres (Theater heute) gewählt. Ihr erste Regiearbeit »Bilder deiner großen Liebe« wird 2018 zum Radikal Jung Festival eingeladen.
Sie arbeitet regelmäßig für Film und Fernsehen unter anderem mit Andreas Dresen, Kilian Riedhoff, Nana Neul, Lola Randl und Jonathan Glazer. Für ihre Darstellung der Marion Löblich im Film »Gladbeck« wurde sie für den deutschen Schauspielerpreis nominiert. Seit der Spielzeit 2021-22 spielt sie an der Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in der Intendanz von René Pollesch. Am Deutschen SchauSpielHaus ist sie in René Polleschs Inszenierung »J’accuse!« zu sehen.
