Torsten Kindermann wurde 1974 geboren und studierte Schulmusik an der Universität Dortmund, Hauptfach Saxophon, und später Gesang am Konservatorium ArtEZ in Arnheim. Während dieser Zeit wirkte er in Ska- und Reggaebands, in Swingprojekten, Big Bands, Popbands und diversen klassischen Ensembles mit. Seine Konzerte und Tourneen führten ihn u. a. nach Holland, Österreich, in die Schweiz, die Ukraine, nach Polen, England und Japan. Seit einigen Jahren konzentriert sich seine Arbeit auf die Theatermusik. Hier arbeitete er als Komponist, Musiker und Schauspieler beispielsweise am Schauspielhaus Bochum, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Maxim Gorki Theater und am Theater Osnabrück. Mit dem Regisseur Frank Abt verbindet ihn eine enge Arbeitsbeziehung, gemeinsam erarbeiteten sie den Liederabend „Jetzt musst du springen“. Im Theater Bremen wirkte er in „BANG BANG“ und „Istanbul“ mit sowie in Abts „Knausgård III: Spielen“ und „Knausgård VI: Kämpfen“.
