Meika Dresenkamp, geboren in Oberhausen, studierte Visuelle Kommunikation an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg, sowie am Camberwell College of Art in London.

Meika Dresenkamp, geboren in Oberhausen, studierte Visuelle Kommunikation an der Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg, sowie am Camberwell College of Art in London.
Seit 2000 arbeitet sie als Videokünstlerin für unterschiedliche Theaterproduktionen, u. a. mit den Regisseuren Stefan Pucher (»Die Perser«, »Andersen Projekt«), René Pollesch (»Das Purpurne Muttermal«, »Fantasma«), Jan Bosse (»Anna Karenina«, »Peer Gynt«), Schorsch Kamerun und der Choreographin Simone Aughterlony, mit der sie neben anderen Arbeiten 2006 das gemeinsame Projekt »Between Amateurs« realisierte.
Außerdem ist Meika Dresenkamp seit 2001 fester Bestandteil im Team von Christoph Schlingensief, u. a. bei »Atta Atta«, »Freakstars 3000«, »Bambiland«, »Parsifal«, »Mea Culpa« und zuletzt »Via Intolleranza II«.
Sie arbeitet an den Schauspielhäusern in Hamburg und Zürich, an der Volksbühne Berlin, an der Bayerischen Staatsoper München, am Burgtheater Wien, am Thalia Theater Hamburg, bei der Biennale 2003 und bei den Bayreuther Festspielen.
